"Tegan: I only write about the things I think about in my head. I don’t ask myself what it’s like to have a twin. I don’t ask what it’s like to be gay. I mean, I don’t know what it’s like not to be gay. I’m not struggling with these things. I’m struggling with trying to get a girl to fall in love with me. So the kinds of questions I ask myself — “Why did I get my heart hurt? Why did I pull away?” — are the things that end up in my songs." (read full article).
